Hi,

So here is Corsair in 1/72 scale from Tamiya under construction, this will be my first plane from WW2. This is my first kit from Tamiya and first time using Mr. Color Aqueous. I am amazed by the paint quality. 0 problems, absolutely no dry tipping. The needle is always clean, amazing how it works. It is so good that I am able to paint the plane using my 0.2mm for my Evolution airbrush. Unlike Revell Aqua range which was extremely frustrating and barely usable even with 0.4mm.

Here are some pictures, basically the cockpit is done and sandwiched in the fuselage. Fit is awesome and minimal cleanup will be required. While I am waiting for the glue to set I will go and mask the canopy. Tamiya gives two canopies, for different versions of this plane.

Nice :thumb2: I done the revell 1.72, not a bad kit and academy 1.48 of which I seemed to have lost the canopy before I got a chance to.stick it on. Oops!

I built another version of this kit a few years ago (the F4U-1A) and was very impressed. Great fit, great detail, easy to build. Yours is looking good :)

Thank you! Lots of work still left. Honestly, I am enjoying it. This is way easier in terms of assembly and part count comparing to the jets that I did before.

Right,

So here is work from today. Fuselage married with the wings structure and engine is painted. Quite happy how the machinery came out looking taking into the account that this is my first WW2 craft.
