Hi Folks

Would anyone be able to let me know if the Tamiya LP range is airbrush ready? I have just brush painted something as I don't have that colour in acrylic and it seems very very thin, its been mixed very well on a Vortex.

I've had a look but can't find anything to say if it is or not.

Any help would be appreciated

Many thanks

Si

Hi Si

In short no, it has to be thinned about 1 to 1, i use Tamiya lacquer thinner, bottle has yellow top, i think you can also use Mr Color self levelling thinner?

Spray about 20 psi

Si, as Bob has said, no it needs thinning, personally I go 60:40 thinner to paint.

I use the orange top (with retarder) for colours and the normal yellow top for metals as it dried faster and stops the pigments flating to the bottom.
