I am a member of the Teesside Model Flying Club (TMFC), we fly at two sites in the Stockton area of the North East. The main site at Redmarshall is a 14 acre site owned by the flying club. We fly all Disciplines, sport, scale, funfly, gliders and helicopters. The club hold a flying show each year and further details can be found at www.geocities.com/teessidemfc

Sure looks like a well organised club Grahame, that looks like a nice flying field as well, good clear approaches.

Thanks for the gen on your club.

Just to clarify things Barry, I didn't start this thread but I am a member of the same club as Gryphin and it certainly is an excellent flying site.

*** I see now, sorry for that misunderstanding Grahame,I think the idea for training is a good one by the way,a £1 a flight to cover the costs of training and a special night for training,so many clubs around here just dont want the learners which is a pity as we all have to start somewhere, your club is obviously very organised in this respect.

Having visited Teesside Model Flying Club as a visiting flyer and for the excellent Airshow that they put on during the summer I can confirm that while it is a very progressive club all the members I spoke to were welcoming and friendly. If you are in the area around July the Airshow is a jolly good day out.

Well everyone been a while since I was last here, the Teesside web side has been changed and I have been developing a new site at www.TMFC.co.uk, this is in it's infancy whilst being rebuilt, must recommend the flying show to anyone who lives close. For those of not living close there is camping on the site, show dates 4 & 5 june.
