well Polux i just could not turn this one down,


my 4 season will all be base on an ANZAC Light horseman,


I said Anzac as not to upset my friends across the Tasman ,


this is set with the Anzac,s being reformed into new division after the pull out from Gallipli,


in 1916 and sent to France,on the western front ,in March being spring time,


these 4 little season,s will be showing a light horseman ,getting a new mount,who i will call


Ziggie,of a farmer and looking out over what will be know as Flanders field,and what he,who was the


unknown solider, I will call smithy


my idea is to convert the Tommys into my horseman,and alter the horses as needed,


as i real don't think that the horseman is show or enough in models made of them,so this is my


try at doing it,

Ta mate You're not just being polite but also historically accurate:


Two squadrons of the 4th Light Horse and all 3 squadrons of the 13th Light Horse went to France, the rest stayed to fight the Turks in the Middle East in Egypt and Palestine. The two 4th Light Horse squadrons with a squadron of the Otago Mounted Rifles formed the 2nd Anzac Corps Mounted Regiment (later called the 22 Corps Mounted Regiment). The13th Light Horse became the mounted regiment for the 1st Anzac Corps and later the Australian Corps.


You're also right in using your Tommys. The familiar slouch hats with emu feathers were not worn as regulation head wear in France.


As an aside and purely out of interest, the 13th Light Horse was sent to Gallipoli late in the campaign and were used to defend Lone Pine.

ta Joe for all the info,i did do some research before i started,and ,I,m so glad that i did get,

so glad you like the idea,


the reason i did pick the Tommys was the uniform is mostly the same,so i can get away with it,


and real just need to make up the slug bullet belt over there shoulder,and may also use the ,


slouch hat as well,

to Polux size 4x6 inch,


this one is Smithy meeting Ziggy for the first time before tacking him out in the farm yard,


very small area to work with so hope you like it,

it is Polux,the hardest part is the room,once over that,


glad your liking it,


the next bit of showing spring time,which is a little tricky,


plants green and in bud only,


your a smart one,it is a challenge, indeed ,but fun,

well more done on this one,base set out and dirt down,


started both ziggy ,smithy have base and basic colors layed down,


just the Shadow work and low,highs on both,


plus what i real hate the kit for both takes so so long,
