What the best method to thin down thick plastic canopies and how do you bring them back to be clear and scratch free?

believe it or not..sand paper.

start with a fairly course grade, then gradually work your way down to as high as you can (tamiya do a 2000grit wet and dry) always use lots of water towards the end to get it as smooth as possible. you can also try using tamiyas cutting solution.

you will also have to re-scribe the lines and give it a nice poilish with the cutting solution or toothpast/brasso.

then a few coats of clear/future and your there!!
