Here's another piece of armour my Grandson entrusted me with to build for him whilst he is at Uni.

Nice kit to build. All brush painted with Vallejo Model Air Acrylics. I did the camouflage freehand and being brush painted, no need for any masking. I always start at the lower front of the model to try and 'Get my eye in' then make up the pattern as I make my way to the a**e end.

I like to keep my brush painting simple and straight forward, so after painting on the three colours, I simply painted over the complete model with a watered down Lt. Brown and let the paint run where it chose to go and mildly streaking the surface whilst it was at it. I brushed on some silver paint for track road contact then dulled it down with my finger. My grandson didn't want heavy weathering, so whilst this last coat was still wet, I sprinkled some floor sweepings over the front, back, tracks and behind the road wheels of the tank and left it at that. Cheapo Wilco matt varnish to finish it off.

Another stunning piece of work using the simplest methods.

That's it, I'm throwing in the towel lol

Thanks chaps. I'm well happy you both like my model. - Well, the Grandson's!

'Simple' to me means it keeps the pressure and thinking about 'Must haves' that some modellers assume they simply must use, permanently in the freezer!

....but as it goes 'To each his own'. In the final run in, it's how we each interpret just what we want from this model making lark. That's probably why I'm happy with the paint brush.

Thanks again boys.

Thanks Ian and Joe for your nice comments.

I had given up, thinking there was hardly any interest in my model.

Hi Ron
Looks superb. I'll bet MIg and AK Interactive cry into their bank accounts when they read - floor sweepings and Wilko varnish

The Grandson collected the model today. He's returned to Uni. and taken the model with him! Bless him....
