I thinks it's incredibly difficult to generate a realistic looking finish on such a wide area of one colour but you've done a beautiful job there and achieved a very realistic look. They certainly make an interesting pair together it's a shame they aren't the same scale.

They booth suposed to be 1:144 scale, Revell say so on the box...

And these are my first two subs everr what I have build.

Till now I have done only airplanes. I think today will get one or two more subs from the store because I find it very nice and good to model subs...

Also on my bench is Speed boat "Gepard Klasse" from Revell in 1:144

I don't believe it!! I assumed the Type VII was the 1/72nd one! Now I think it is even more amazing at half the size. Fantastic job on the weathering at 1/144th
