Using airbrush for 2K automotive paint...?

Another thread on automotive usage.


A few months back I had some exterior trim repainted for my Camaro. The trim doesn't quite match the body panel it's affixed to due old paint vs new. As such I could do with blending my spoiler trim into main body panels. Has anyone used an airbrush for such a task? I figured since it could supply a finer/lighter spray than an HVLP gun it might be ideal for such a task?
