Hi everyone. Does anyone have any recommendations for varnish on a metal finish? I've noticed the shine gets knocked back a little when applying a varnish. I've tried a few different varnishes but they all seem to have the same effect. Is this the "norm" and just something you have to accept. Thanks for any advice help received.

It is my experience too that the shine does get knocked back slightly by a varnish. It is a minimal effect and one I've been prepared to live with, even on very shiny 'polished' aluminium finishes.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has found something that does not have this effect.
