That is also simple. I just picked at the top coat soon after I sprayed it on. Say about 3-5mins after spraying it on. Of course with some help from the salt left over, after using the 'salt & hair spray( in my case just water) technique. To speed up the drying time I used a heat gun. I am sure you have heard of the salt and hair spray technique, right?

I have heard of the hair spray technique but the salt bit is new to me!

I thought it was a F16 that we had but i was wrong it is a F10 but are very similar.

hope these help, as you can see the dash dose not meet the door, there is a vent pipe that sticks out from the dash and the door that meet when the door is closed, like i said before there is enough gap between the two that when the door is shut you can get your hand between them.

as for the front grill, the gap that you talked about on your model was that the gap you can see in the pics?
