Went to pay for a few groceries yesterday. Card declined. strange. I knew the account was well covered.

Thought just the retailers machine. Went to the bank and tried to withdraw cash. Whoops same thing.

Miss Bank Lady help. So she sorts it out.

Transpires Crooks (have other descriptions) had tried to buy an item worth at Ibits Apple £1750. And after more depth questioning of me by the bank found that John Lewis were on the list with another 3 rejected items.

But my bank stopped all of these transactions. Apparently they also used the excuse its has been stolen been lost.

So it sounds as if they have saved me £2000 plus.I moan about bank security that you have to endure but not now. Brilliant job.

Decided that I will only keep a very small amount in the current account. On line I can easily transfer at a moments notice.

So watch, as I will, how your details get around. I rarely use the card on line mostly PayPal. Something got out somewhere.

Had mine scammed last week. Luckily the bank phoned me to warn me.

That was a failure by my Bank Allyne. Although they stopped the use of my card they did not warn me. Although it does not worry me when my card is declined it will embarrass others. My wife for instance.
