I would also go for interior green, just took a look at an instruction-page for a 1/72 IB, that one says "humbrol 78 Cockpit Green Matt"

Is that a photo of a restored plane? Then you can’t trust it if an authentic finish is your aim

However, this photo from Wikipedia shows that the area under the canopy simply follows the camouflage of the rest of the plane:

Brilliant many thx for this - in particular the view of the canopy rail and the "rectangle" twds the fwd.
