I think it's Sd.Kfz.251/3. Hard to say which version is it, but I think some people will track it via reg number.

I'm agree with Bart, looks a Sd.Kfz!

I think the version is 250/9.... But is difficult to say!

Many thanks fellas, me being a novice what is the main differences between the /3 & /9 ?

Basically Sd.Kfz.251 is a half-track. There are plenty of versions of this half-track. The one on the picture is /3, which is comm vehicle.
 
I've done some research on this photo and it is definatelly Sd.Kfz.250/3. The rear hatch is different in 251 and that misleaded me. It can't be 253 as it been fully enclosed (isn't in the picture).

The picture has been taken in Stalingrad, October 1942.
