Probably an unanswerable question but anyhow here goes, what do judges look for when grading models in a competition, i had a few in at scaleworld, won nought - thats the way it goes, but one model that did win was the exact same kit as mine, and very well built it was , but cant see why mine didn't even get a commended ???. no sour grapes, just interested if anyone has ever judged, and what a thankless task it must be :-)

Winning model (sure its this one)

Tough one... they both have their merits.

I would assume the devil is in the detail and it would depend on what exactly the judges are basing their citisism/criteria on in their evaluation.

Did you talk to the judges to get a feel for what they were looking for?
