Howdy Guys,

I know I have spoken of paper or card models alot here recently, but, I dont feel so bad now because I found someone who apparently takes "cardmodelling" to the extreme.

Check out this 25 ft. long F 104 Starfighter made from refridgerator boxes.

You can see the entire "Build" of this at this link: http://kancho.muncho.org/gal_f104.html . While you are there check out his other galleries. They contain finished models that he has designed and sells......they are awesome. He also offers free downloads of his older models.

Have a good day,

Nice study in re-cycling materials. Hope he finds some clear waste plastic for a canopy. Look at the workshop/studio...wow. Interesting website he has too. Must have been a wild ride in the snow with the "Widow Maker" ! I`ve heard of ship and boat modellers using published card models as templates for transfering onto wood and plastic ("normal") building materials. Scale them up to whatever size you fancy. Cheaper than plans.

Howdy Duncan,

Yes, there are people who use scaled up card model plans for flying aircraft. Some use a balsa framework and others use foam as seen on this link http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/fgmodels/motorized/motorized.htm stop by and look at the pics.

Alot of the card model planes are designed to fly, like all of the free models offered here: http://homepage2.nifty.com/ojimak/interest.htm

stop by that site and download any of the models in yellow, click on the name for the model parts file and click on the picture for the instruction file.

I have a friend who makes card model rockets that fly using estees type engines, including several versions of the scud missile and others at: http://www.geocities.com/coldwarriorcards/ and as always, all the models are free.

Have a good day,

Greg aka GW
