    Boatmans big 1/32 Scale PHANTOM F4E with lights an folding wings

    HI ALL well now the small showtime phantom is finished what next well i thought id keep on a building another bigger phantom 1/32 scale what steve( AIRBOURNE) sent me as it deservses to be built as Steve made a start on it then stopped an he has made a very nice job on what parts he has built

      Chris, note there are rounds visible just below the feed hopper that need to be painted brass! Sorry I never got round to finishing it!

        Anyway more pics guys this if i can build it should be a cracker of a model AN CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHICH WAY THE NOSE CONE OPEN ON ITS HINGE AS ID LIKE TO CUT THE NOSE OFF AN MAKE SO IT OPEN AN CLOSES ?

                  WELL Thats it next is the build but it will be a few days before i start as i want to do some research on how the lights will fit in an the wings fold up hinges to be fitted so im gonna have a good thunk

                    Chris,
                    There are not many pictures of the Phatom "nose open" readily available.
                    Basically it was hinged on the right - so if you sat in the pilot seat the nose hinged to the right.

                    There is a video on you tube, if I find it I will post the link.

                      WOW Paul yes this helps ok great stuff many thanks sir for finding up this vid very kind of you as im hopein to make the nose hinge open so the radar can be seen an im also hopein to fit some hinges on the gatlin gun cover so it can swing down so the gun ca be seen an its goin to take a lot of work an lit up as well so thats some of my plans for it but wheather it will come to fruitation we will have to wait an see
