It’s the Blacksnakes version, so 3 schemes, all of them are grey/grey - That said, now I think about it, I did have a number of decal sets for the Tamiya A10. I am going to have a look to see if I still have them.

Got the Warthog primed and some black shading applied to help break up the greys. There's a 'false canopy' on the scheme for the lower nose area. Academy did not provide a decal, so I'm going to have to have a think about how I get that shape for painting. Weapons etc are also primed and everything is (I think) ready for paint. Reasonably happy with how this turd is turning into a half decent model.

That’s progress, be good to see when that pre-shading shows up - I love the modern jets (heresy I know, but I’d rather do a jet than a Spitfire) but the newer grey/grey schemes really are lacking interest, dare I say it, boring! You end up finding ones with interesting markings to make up for their lack of colour.

I have visions of ‘Good Morning Vietnam’ when he has the fashion designer complaining about the green uniforms and wanting to make them pink instead!

Cheers Steven, Steve, and Paul. Yes, I know what you mean Neil about the grey schemes being rather bland. What they do offer though, is scope for some weathering effects that might not otherwise show up on dark greens or greys.

Well you got it together with a lot of effort and filler. Looks good now. The preshade will certainly help add some variation to the grey.

Thanks Jim and Richard. It's not looking too bad now. I'm currently painting the landing gear parts.

The landing gear is mostly done. I started the main scheme with the underside 'false canopy', which was painted in Gunship Grey. Once that was masked I applied the Dark Ghost Grey. It is easier to do it this way for masking reasons. Light Ghost Grey goes on next, then on to the weapons, many of which are also Light Ghost Grey.

Good paint work so far Joe, it’s coming along very nicely 👍

Well I can see you've invested heavily in a bit of filler, but the result so far looks spot on.

Waiting for some PE for the office for the Italeri one - which paints are you using, I know light and dark ghost grey feature heavily
