    B25D Mitchell (1/48 from revell)

I’m currently in the midst of building a b25 bomb bay and I’m sort of stumped, I’ve seen a few pictures of a b25 bomb bay but they look nothing like the kit. The first picture is the 2 parts, the second picture is how revell says it should be assembled and the third is just how the b25 bomb bays look like, could anyone help
me out with just some tips, what this other part is and how I should paint it?

Very weird indeed, all images I could find show a flat panel above the bomb-load.

For those who like to think along, below you can see the part in the instructions, looks like it should be painted green.

Do you have any clue what it could be? Maybe some type of special payload?

I think I found it in this review, it seems to be an extra fuel-cell if you're doing the Doolittle version (bombing Japan) cheers
