    BOATMANS 1/32 scale PHANTOM F4E BUILD THREAD WITH LIGHTS

    HI ALL well here hopefully is the build thread of a 1/32 scale PHANTOM F4E what steve( AIRBOURNE) sent me as it deservses to be built as Steve made a start on it then stopped an he has made a very nice job on what parts he has built AN here the fusealage just started by airborne

        HI Steven yes i intend too but tryin to load these pics onto this site is a nightmare with this bloomin windows 11 wish i could have kept the windows 10 as much easyier
        thanks for your reply Steven an if i can will load more build pics up as this was a very unual kit bein the nose seckion was all glass so the radar unit an gatlin gun ammo box could be seen but i did it different an the glass nose section

                  THANKS Flyjoe now for the hard part of downloading more pics from the other site as so far ive found out how to do it 3 different ways so its confusein for me so see what happens today

                    HI all well all i can manage is 4 pics at a time an here they are due to how complex it is to download the pics but im mangeing on 4 pics at a time an here in this pic is the bottom of the cockpit where ive fitted in tiny 2mm leds to light up the controlls in the cockpit an to get the wires an leds in place was difficult Click image for larger version

                      Here a shot of the office an controls all lit up by tiny 2mm leds an yes they are bright but they need to be so they can be seen

                        AN now just leavein that cockpit part of the build for a while i found after a lot of thought that i needed to cut the nose off an fit a mini hingde in so the nose can be opened for a while to show the radar an then close up again so here a pic of some plastic surgury lol doin it an it was a devil of a job to cut the nose straight but i managed it with wrappin 2 bits of tamyia maskin tape dead to the line an cut with a razor saw Click image for larger version
