    I think you mean the MiG-25 Robert. That was basically 2 huge engines attached to an airframe! The Foxhound replaced it,and is a much better aircraft.

      Yeah, MiG-25 could do around M3.2 without external weapons. MiG-31 is a direct evolution from 25 - While not as fast (M2.8), it is still the fastest operational fighter in the world at the moment. BM version is an upgraded one and carrying a powerful radar, datalink and other goodies, which make this interceptor ideal for guarding an extensive Russian airspace.

                              Just caught up with this after a while, I'm amazed at the detail of the cockpit, internals and even the landing gear this is looking so professionally built, really has taken my breath away. This is really fantastic
