    Airfix 1/72 F-86 Sabre

Hi all, thought I'd share this with you, for your amusement

I was all prepped to do it as Mr Airfix intended, but then had other, what I call, ideas!!!

Lack of funds means this will have to be all my own handy work, so we'll see how we go. Quite happy with it so far, the standard Airfix pilot at least looks alive

    Cheers, Neil

Cheers lads, you might want to watch through your fingers, though....

It is a lovely little kit, especially for the money. And the fact it was used by so many aerobatic teams means I might and buy a few more wholesale!!!

I'm watching Neil. It's a great kit I built one not long ago.

Nice work. It's strange, looking at your pics, Airfix plastic is so distinctive. I like it.......

OK, cockpit and pilot done. Its not brilliant, but should look OK under the canopy. Now to get the big bits together....

                  Cheers, Neil

Much better than my usual vaguely man-shaped blobs!

I think the pilot looks rather smart.

Quick update. The big bits are on, and the first flight taken Needed a few bits of filler here and there, the stuff on the underside mainly due to me hacking the flaps out.

A bit strangely, on both the airbrakes and the opening panels under the cockpit at the root of the wings, I found one side fitted seamlessly, the other with noticeable gaps....

                            Cheers, Neil
