Good to see this back on track. One day, you will be sat there contemplating your model builds and you will look over to the Shackleton and with a gentle smile think 'I built that'.Comment

Thanks Gentlemen for having a look.
This is down to Eduard. They do a nice cockpit improvement bit of PE.Originally posted by \Nice work going into the cockpit.
Revell took over two months from my initial email, which I think had been overlooked / forgotten about.Originally posted by \I had to wait about 2 months for clear parts from Dragon last year!
Thanks Joe. Eduard again ! As PE goes, it's not too bad.Originally posted by \Super looking interior.
Well now, behave. It's actually going alright. The fuselage went together ok, a bit of filler on the seems was required. All the glazing fitted well, yes a pain to mask, but hey., not the kit's fault. The wings were a good fit, with a tiny gap to fill, easily done with a water based filler. And here it is. Finally, it looks like a Shackleton.Originally posted by \i hope this kit starts behaving itself

No there isn't is there. Primer, lovely stuff isn't it....Originally posted by \That is looking very good Colin, no hints of trouble in the photo.
I think if I did that, I would probably lose a wing. The carpet monster would be well fed.Originally posted by \I've left my wings detachable, makes life easier with spraying and decaling
So, just a bit more done. Primer,
And then, the top coat. Now this I have tried to vary the shade of grey used. This is a lightened shade of the final paint to be used. So, it will get a bit darker, but probably not much more. I would like to see more variation in the final top coat but I am very aware of going to far, like I normally do ! Even so, I'll probably try a bit more post shading tomorrow. Any comments or ideas on this before I go too far ?
