Revell 1:72 Fairey Gannet AS mk 1/4 build

Hi, I thought I'd share with you all my latest build, the Revell Fairey Gannet, as shown below....

So far I've assembled the cockpit assembly together, and fitted into the fuselage. I found the side instrument panels frustrating to all get in and aligned well.

A little filling and sanding was required on the body seams, but not to much.

More progress to come, any comments advice ect appreciated.

    Cheers, Andrew

Thanks Vaughn, I enjoy larger scale stuff as well. Most kits I get at the moment are decided on by price, they have to be cheap due to shortage of funds, but also an interesting subject!!!! I have got some larger scale stuff in my stash including the revell 1:48 black widow, and an academy 1;35 achilles tank.

      Cheers, Andrew

Hi guys, an update on my latest build, all wings and tailwings now on....

....each tail wing was made up of 5 parts, and the fit was pretty poor, plenty of cutting sanding filling more sanding ect to get rid of all the gaps!!!!

        Cheers, Andrew

Such an ugly aircraft should never have been allowed to fly. And because of that I love it, the poor old thing. I don't think I've seen one of these built on this forum so i'm quite keen to see it develop.

Hi guys, thanks for your comments, I must agree, thats another thing that draws me to a kit, unusual looking stuff like this. Apparently this kit has now gone out of production, but is still available in shops.

No more progress on the build, been doing my Revell 1:48 scale P-61 black widow, now gonna share that build on another thread.....

              Cheers, Andrew
