I’ve hit a road block with this. I haven’t just misplaced a part, I’ve only gone and mislaid and entire sprue!
The one with the pitot probe, and it was the last part on it too. So I added the last bits I could and have set it aside to dry and come back to it later. Scratch making a replacement pitot probe is plan B.

Hi mate, not sure if you're seeing what we all are?!....
.... Can you not see the replies/comments that you're getting??... Can't see much acknowledgement to most of it from yourself ....
... Looking good btw.:thumb2:Comment

Yes, I am seeing all the comments and reactions. I prefer to acknowledge them with a like and later (usually at the end of a build) with a written note of thanks to all. I haven’t mastered the art of cutting and pasting loads of member comments and responding. Prefer to keep it simple and brief.
Thanks to all who have made such kind and positive comments, they are most welcome and appreciated. On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.

How difficult a job is the pitot? the smaller the more bleeding difficult I find it!!
Nice build - most enjoyable catch up!!Comment

The pitot tube is a long pointy thing that tapers. I’ve made one from styrene rod but I didn’t know how long it should be.
At first I thought I’d lost the part after cutting it from the sprue so made the replacement. I had the idea of using the sprue as a guide for figuring out the length but I cannot find it anywhere. I have a recollection of hearing something fall and rattle yesterday and assume it to be the sprue frame but it’s nowhere to be seen.
I find taking a break from something that frustrates you like this is often the best thing to do, purge it from your mind and come back to it later. On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.

Some on here do it this way that’s why I just skip over their threads why waste my time on these kind when there’s more Modelers that will respond no matter what they have to do.If I had known his floor mat of replying I never would have gave him a comment.Comment
