    Platz 1/144 P47D Razorback

Another smol one, 2 in a box, i likes the DDay invasion striped version for starters.
Built up no problems, lovely fit, primed painted with Vallejo mod colour...... glossed 3 times, first decal session. 2 days of fun.

Never seen 'star n bar' duplicated on underwing before, probably to guarantee identification.

    Hi Nick
Amazing considering it is so small.
    Jim
Congratulations on your awards at St Ives

That is odd — the whole reason for having a star on only one wing was to improve identification because German and Japanese planes would have a similar shape on both wings. But I suppose somebody didn’t know that and felt that having a star on each side would help? Them being very oversize probably has the same reason.

Probably because all n sundry in the armarda and post landing phase just threw lead in the air at most things, until positively identified lol

Had a 2nd decal session, undercarriage doors, propeller blades and the single cowling chequed decal...... all went well. Ive gone over with a single coat of Daley Rowney matt, another later..... another pleasing build so far

Really nice job on the "Jug" Buddy. I can't believe you love these tiny thangs so much. Hell, I couldn't even see the parts, let alone build it Nick!!!

                    Prost
