Excellent work on the figures. You have certainly improved them a great deal. I'm glad the canopy worked OK. Polishing that "U" shape is difficult to do without cracking the plastic - I did just that and had to send off to the manufacturer for a replacement. Luckily the customer service was good. Do you find Blu-tack can leave a mark? As always great modelling.Comment

Thanks Jim, polishing the inside of the canopy has its advantages as holding it between my fingers I can add pressure against the finger as a backing when polishing. If it were the outside I would have to tape the inside and fill putty to strengthen it.Excellent work on the figures. You have certainly improved them a great deal. I'm glad the canopy worked OK. So far the blutac I'm using doesn't leave a mark. I'm using lacquer paints and it cures quite fast.
Anyway the finish was a bit flat so I have remasked panels that will get shades with an airbrush.
Still masking in process.

Hi, gloss coated this morning with Future and started decaling in the late afternoon. Half a day of curing ought to be enough for an acrylic. The weather has been odd these few days so the paint behavior is erratic leaving a bit of orange peel which I will solve by light wet sanding after decaling and another thinned light coat of Future.
The light coat of varnish will take away the cloudiness from the reaction of Mr Mark Softener on some of the decal edges.
Cheers,

Thanks Jim, the oddity is hot, humid and cool rain all in the same day switching places so you can't tell when to paint gloss coats. :rolling: :smiling6:

If there wasn't a pair of scissors there for scale,I'd swear this is 1/48 scale, the detail you've created looks sublime.
An excellent build and a brilliant paint finish... nice one Richard.. :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2:,Comment
