Huey 1/48 Kitty Hawk captured by UK in the Falklands Conflict

Taken over from the Argentinians & used by the British in the Falklands at the end of the conflict.
Part of a diorama of as many kits as I can get of aircraft & vehicles used on both sides.

Some of the start to the helicopter

            Hi Laurie
Never heard of Kitty Hawk Models. The kit looks very nice and the PE will be worth the effort. Nice plan and a fine start.

Thanks for your interest & comments Scottie, Eddie. Jon & bob. Much appreciated.

Bob. Try one they are great fun. There is a lot more detail than a winged aircraft. A lot
more to think of when building it is more intricate.

Plus the workk you put into the interior is not lost. I always keep open the cargo door
              to show the interior.

Links Airfix 1/48 is very nice to build. PJ Productions produce a trio of 2 pilots &
a cargo man. The cargo man sits on the edge of the cargo floor looking out.
Nice detail as there are a couple of machine guns mounted in the cargo hold.

Have a go. I just love helicopteres.

Thanks Jim for looking in appreciated.

First Kitty Hawk that I have come across. In some quarters they seem to have been criticized.
But seems very good to me. I think a kit quality depends a lot on when they were designed
                & manufactured.

Airfix early kits were a bit crude but the Helmand series is superb. Kitty seems OK.
