Hasegawa 1/72 Typhoon completed

Just a few photos of my first proper build for something like 27 years - a Hasegawa 1/72 Typhoon. Please be gentle with me as, like I said, this was my first real build for donkeys years 😉😉😉.

Hand painted with mainly Vallejo acrylics with a bit of Humbrol and Italeri paint used for some of the details. It was an easy build apart from the main u/c outer doors which seemed too long to me, and therefore required a bit of trimming to get them to fit without fouling the wheels or the Storm Shadow missiles. Oh, and bonus points to who ever spots the "deliberate'' mistake on the port wing tip! Wasn't brave enough to do any weathering - saving that for the next model namely the 1/72 Italeri AMX-T

Thanks Steven! Brush strokes are definitely there if you really look closely - photos do a wonderful job of hiding all that sort of thing. The trick to at least minimizing them seems to be very many thin coats (6 - 7 in this case on the airframe itself).

Well done Gary. I agree with everything the lads have said. As regards photographs. I find they do the opposite and show up every thing so you should be proud of this one as your model looks great.

Once again, thanks to everyone for the kind words. Just a pointer to anyone thinking of building this model - when gluing part E4 (the internal former behind the air intakes) do not squeeze the fuselage sides together to fit the former as it is way too narrow. If you do so you will end up with a large gap when fitting the fuz to the wings! Only glue it to the top of the fuselage or the lower wing. Fortunately I picked this tip up from another review on FSM and did not fall into the trap.
