    Hawker Typhoon 247sq. December 1944 - Airfix 1/72

    Hello mates!

Before proceeding further with the 1/24 Merlin for the Spit I decided to take a pause and build something simpler.

So I took this nice Airfix kit from the stash and started building OOB. Well, almost OOB:

    - added seat bealt

    - added navigation and under fuselage red lights

    - replaced guns with siringe nails

    - replaced antennas and stair step

    - added cuckoo door

    - added boxes and frames in wheel bays

    Here are some shots

Very nice model Francesco. Very nice detail work especially on the smaller 1/72 scale which shows skill.

I like the understated weathering and the shading which, for me, without that shading the panel lines would have looked harsh.

A nice model with an authentic look.

Interesting! Never knew that typhoons could go upside down! Lol! Good job mate. Gave up on 1:72 a long time ago as I find it too hard to mask and build with thin machine guns and easily breakable bits. Great build.

That's great, Francesco. All the work you've put in on the shading makes it very realistic in this scale. I watch and learn!

Brilliant job Francesco. Every time is see one built to this standard, I want one.

Nice of you to orientate the first two pics for Joe and Monica.
