Lovely build of a great subject, Colin. I think the problems you experienced will only be visible to you!

Thanks to everyone for taking time to have a look and comment.
It's very nearly the same size as my 1:48 Airfix Seafire. It seems the Gannet was quite a big aircraft, hence the double folding wings I suppose.Originally posted by \this build looks a bigger kit than 1/72
No it isn't, but it's flippn' heavy. I'll need to source some more lead after this build.Originally posted by \And it isn't a tail-sitter either
I want to stick with acrylics, but might try a different brand. However for me some paints will always be Humbrol enamel, namely H90 and H78 - nothing else will do for me !Originally posted by \Ive had a few problems with Vallejo myself and have gone back to enamels.
Well I've got about 5 more to do before the end of the year. So what's next, another very old 1:24, or a nice little new 1:72...............................?

Superb build mate. The Gannet is an ugly bird, never really liked it's lines-chunky angular fuselage and square wings. Despite that, it looks very nice
