F4f-4 Joe Foss Wild Cat 1/48 Tamiya

The first finished build off the table for 2016! The F4F-4 Wild Cat of Joe Foss VMF-121 credited with 26 kills . He was the second highest scoring ace of the Marine corp! Tamiya did a nice job with this kit ,the fit is excellent . I finished it with Model Master enamel and topcoated with Testors Dulcote.

Stunning job Trey. The oil around the cowl lip is very nicely done, as are the gun streaks on the wings. Awesome.

Stunning work like the bleached look of the aircraft and the panel lines really pop and then you get the added bonus off seeing the engine cracking work on all counts

This is lovely, Trey. The engine and undercarriage in the close-ups really look the business.

Must have missed this one Trey, these are fun to build huh.

Nice work on the engine and overall paint job.

Enjoyed my FM2 conversion a while ago and have some nice Disney themed decals left over for a fm4 martlet conversion so will be keeping my eyes peeled for one of those.

                        Great build

I must have missed this to Trey. Love the faded blue and the shading and weathering is spot on, very nicely done.
