Fantastic looking lightning Colin i love the way youve weathered it , just right in my eyes, all too often we see Nat metal aircraft that are modelled to look like a highly polished warbird when in reality very few aircraft ever had the chrome like shine , usually just a dulled silver .cheers tony

So do I. Mine was a matchbox kit I think. This is the first time I've done a Lightning since then - bit of a trip down memory lane for me.

Nice I reckon, when I get this WWII bug out of my system it will be one I'll tackle. Am I right in thinking airfix released a new tool in 1/48?

I don't think it was new tool, but a very good model anyway.
