Completed papa695s Bristol Beaufighter Airfix 1/72

Well I've got this one fully completed. It's for the Battle of Malta GB.

It depicts the Beaufighter N for November of 272 Sqn, which went down on the 17th March 1943, near St Julian's bay Malta.

I used the Airfix 1/72 new tool Beaufighter for the before the crash build, and a very good kit it is, and the Old Airfix 1/72 kit for the wreck.

Superb work, Ian. I've enjoyed your regular updates on this one. The 'before' version and its base are worthy of an award, and with the 'after' version it's simply stunning. Love the presentation box idea too.

That's such a brilliant piece of modelling Ian! The pre-crash Beaufighter is excellent & how you've done the wreck is stunning.

The blue background gives it that eerie undersea effect. I'm with Tony, it's a museum piece for sure - have you considered contacting the RAF museum at Cosford or Hendon?

Its been a pleasure watching this project develope Ian. The final result is worthy of first place at Newark in my opinion. Great work.

Perfect execution of a very unique idea Ian. The wreck is great, but the one on the top (before takeoff) now that's a beauty of a kit and you have built it up so well. Also a great way to show off the old tool being phased out and the new tool come to life!
