    Lancaster 1:48 tamiya

This has been complete for a
Little while but I just keep
Forgetting to take pictures. For the eagle eyed one of the wheel
Flaps fell off whilst carrying the plane to the garden patio.

very nice job and very well finished. Brings back memories of my Dad helping me build one of these back in maybe 1960.

    Bravo Carl

Thanks for the comments, it was a good excuse to get my camera out rather then the mobile Phone and take some better Pictures.

It was definitely worth the effort Carl, those snaps are excellent.

          The models not bad either!

Thanks for all the comments. This model was the first I had upon the return to the hobby after 30 odd years and has always been my favourite plane so I waited best part of year to build it whilst I got some experience behind me. Thanks to all the help and constructive comments on this forum which undoubtedly
led to a much better finished result than if I’d not joined the forum.

That is a very nice looking Lancaster.

It goes to show that with enough skill and perseverance there is life in that old kit yet

I’ve been hanging them on the wall which takes a bit less space. My first idea was to have the Lancaster with spitfire and hurricane swooping down from the ceiling in the lounge. My wife apparently wasn’t so enthusiastic.

                              Carl,

Sincerest apologies just realised that I forgot to say how much I looked liked this. It has come out very well indeed.
