    1/32 Revell Bf109K-4 Completed

As promised here's a "fly around".

Here's something you wouldn't want to see in your rear view mirror!

And something you'd like to see.....through a gunsight!

Not much of a story, apart from the obvious mix 'n' match nature of the construction forced on the Germans at war's end. The werknummer is unknown as is the unit to which it was assigned. It was captured at Munchen-Riem airfield at the end of the war.

Here's a link to the build thread for anyone interested.

Terrific stuff Steve, it's been a pleasure to watch your build unfold. A true object lesson in trying something away from the mould......

      Excellent stuff.

More importantly, your photography is getting better and better.lol....infact this set is spot on! Big 5 all round.

      Well done.

      Cheers,

Thanks for the nice comments,I'm glad you like this slightly unusual looking machine.

I just noticed that in no point in my thread did I mention that this is a good kit. The fit was excellent and there really were no major dramas in construction. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to build a late war 109 in this scale.

                  Cheers

                  Steve

Beautifully done as usual Steve - even if the paint job does look like you've been using that kit as a test bed for a new airbrush! ***** again.

Fantastic job Steve! I do love seeing these go from parts on a sprue to finished article.

When I'm better at building aircraft I'd like to try this kit, though with a more conventional colour scheme!

                        5 gold one's from me.

                            Thank you very much gentlemen.

Patrick, these Ks had a bewildering variety of schemes though there were only three official variations including aircraft from the early production block (W.Nrs. 330xxx from Regensburg) which were camouflaged in the same way as their G-14/AS.

Later some kind of grey on the cowling was very common as was the darker fin/rudder assembly. Then of course they got "adjusted" after they left the assembly plants. It's all good fun though.

                            Cheers

                            Steve
