    Fw 190 D-9 "Rote 13" JV44

    hi all!!!

here comes another "product" of my model kitchen. hasegawa's focke-wulf 190 d-9 in 1/32. it was a comission work for a friend of mine. for this build i used the super detail set from aires including engine, cockpit, gun bays and landing gear bay.

this fw 190 d-9 "Red 13" of the "Jagdverband 44" was flown by oberleutnant klaus faber at ainring airfield in april 1945. the "doras"were delegated as "platzschutzstaffel" to protect the taking off an landing phase of the me 262 jetfighters at munich-riem airfield.

to make the d-9 clearly visible to the ground crews of the aa-gun protection the planes where manually painted to have a red underside with white stripes.

the platzschutzstaffel of jv44 is also known as "galland's flying circus".

Thats very nice! ( I'm a master of understatement).

Some thing about a Dora. Mean and graceful all at the same time.

Great pictures to, is that your garden in the back ground!!!?

Five star build and paint work.

                      Hi Guys!!

Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad that you like my "Dora".

Ian, it's not my garden but the landscape behind our house. It's a very typicale countryside of the northern Black Forest.
