Well, if it weren't for Paul T organising this Group Build, its very likely this one would have been languishing in the stash forever more. This was considered a very good kit in its day and it went together very nicely. Base paint for the metallic finish was a Tamiya LP colour with a supporting cast of various A.Stand shades and a few other regular Tamiya colours.
After binning the original decals, the replacements fell apart in the water and no other F86D specific decals could be found. That rather put paid to any of the more colourful and exciting schemes so what I've ended up with is something rather more generic and not strictly correct just to get the model finished.
