Airfix Bentley 1/12 not a great start

I received this three Christmases ago and thought I'd better make a start.
the actual part numbered 1 is missing, so i carried on anyway.
This is going to take a long time i think.

Iconic kit and prices are pretty steep. I hope the missing part can be scratched or it can be omitted. Look forward to seeing your build.

Contact the Hornby/Airfix helpline and say you're utterly distraught should they not be able to supply a replacement !

I'll be watching this one with interest, there are some 'stunning' builds out there, such a brilliant kit

It's supposed to be inside the main engine block.
I thought if i took the time to get in touch and wait ect I'd lose the mood to start it, so decided to carry on without it.
            probably a mistake😅

Hope you're lucky, but it's a very old kit so they might not have any parts left.

The piece you are missing is part of the support for the motor for the earlier kits that had the gears fitted

As peterairfix says, the missing part (1) is an internal bulkhead which is only required if putting a motor inside the engine block. You can use the other internal bulkhead (part 12) as a template to make another one in plastic card, although if not using a motor, you can leave it out.
