    Mater

    Hi i'm going to build Mater from the Disney film Cars.
    It will be a play around with a lot of rust colours.

    Hi made a start on this cleaned all the seam lines off, drilled the three holes that would have held the headlamp bezel on, filled the gap between the front panel and the two wings.[ATTACH]323154[/ATTACH]

          Hi built the cab and chassis and wheels.
          I've added some HT leads.
          Replaced rear tow shackles.
          Added rear lights.
          Will be adding new cable drum and will try to add cables to the jib, drilled out rollers etc.
          Added pivots to rollers.

                This is superb Pete! I've (rumour) got a 1/24 Revell Lightning McQueen coming on Christmas Day! So must get a Mater ASAP although in 1/43rd, very interesting!

                Just a point , with the Mater the steering on the box is skew-wiff . I know that there's possibly an axle through the front, so is there any chance to skew the steering I wonder!
                PS. I just found one on Amazon, post free and ordered it! Should be here around the 28th!
