It usually goes like that as well.......just remember what Frank Spenser said...”No man that never made nothing never made any mistakes”...with this type of work you really do have to suck it and see. After a while you will be able to solve most issues as they come up, or even avoid them all together.Comment

Thanks everyone!
I've been enjoying this so much and barrelling along so well that I forgot to take any pictures today! I'll try and catch up with that tomorrow but basically I've started on parts like the engine, seats and dashboard. Things that I can get done while the filler is drying on the body. I've also done a lot of re-scribing, like the door gaps, relocating the petrol flap etc., and spot primed a few areas to show up any imperfections (plenty, lol) ready for a final whip round with some putty tomorrow.
One head scratcher was how to recreate / relocate the cooling louvres which are in a completely different place on the pick up. I've ordered some 0.75mm quarter round strip from John, which (if I can cut & position it straight!) should do the trick.Comment

Well, best laid plans and all that.
Just about ready to go to bed last night when the power went out. I reported the fault but obviously Power Grid thought it was a problem at our end since it was just us.
They sent two guys out anyway but they
couldn't do anything, seems like it's a break in the cable outside. Just sat waiting for the "digging team" to arrive and start hacking up my front garden and possibly the road.Comment

Thanks Si, and yes Richard, not ideal but at least it's breaking the lockdown monotony a bit.

We had a water disruption just yesterday when we were about to clean house. Good thing it was back on by noon so cleaning differed to today.
Cheers,
