Cheers Scottie. I was very happy with it myself but you never know how these things come across to others.

Thanks Chris. I spent ages trying to decide on a colour but plumped for a kind of sunflower yellow in the end. I started painting my real one that colour but couldn't afford that many rattle cans :smiling5:

Yes, much happier with this version Tony. By the way, I work across the road (Parkway) from the new McLaren place. When I'm back I'll pop in and see how it's getting on...

Thanks Paul. It's had a coat of varnish to seal it in but it'll be stopping like that. I just need to work on some more accessories to stow up there :smiling3:

Thanks Andy & Andrew, more to come :smiling3:

Yes Tony, although we got bought out by the Sytner group recently (who in turn had just been bought by Penske Automotive Group) so we're now called Carshop.

Golf course sounds a better idea though! :smiling5:

Not much to show for today as I've mostly been removing the masking and touching up where the paint has blown through door gaps etc.

I have managed to make the BBQ look a bit more "lived in" though, and added some tongs made from foil.

Started fitting out the interior today. It's mostly CA glue from here on in so a huge likelihood of things going wrong! I've missed a decal on the dashboard but I can still just about get to it.

And Zoë challenged me to make a frying pan, so I had a go. It came out a bit smaller than I'd hoped and wouldn't exactly fit a Full English, but it looks a bit like what I was trying to make so pleased enough. The "non stick" needs dulling down with a swipe of satin varnish I think

I'm currently ploughing my way through the 32 windows that need a trial fit, adjusting as required, a rubber seal painting around them, then hopefully fitting into the same frame I've adjusted them for!

                      Cracking work Andy

Its superb both inside and out and all the camping equipment too

The roof rack looks spot on

Well done and keep it up, though the masking has been a pig, with some clear coat will level it all out and look great with a polish

                      Nice one

                      Steve H

                            Thanks Steve, Andy & Neil.

Much of it is ready to come together now and it's usually the stage where I'd rush to get it finished and mess up or miss something obvious, so I need to be wary of that.

I'm twiddling my thumbs a bit trying to get inspiration for accessories, and also waiting for some chrome paint to arrive. I ordered direct from Alclad as I thought that was the safest bet at the moment, but it's been almost a week and no sign of it being dispatched yet, so who knows when it'll turn up!

Whilst thumb twiddling, you might consider an elevated grill shelf above the large grill to warm buns or cooked items, as well as the other half of the drum hinged as a lid. Maybe a rack on the rear of the trailer to carry the grill? Maybe as simple as short pcs of pipe (like nerf bars or just welded to rear bumper) that the back legs of the grill fit into. Random thoughts over pm coffee & cookies. PaulE
