    Kenworth W900: Revell

Hi all, thought i'd have a break from Armour so made a start on the Revell Kenworth W900. Haven't made my mind up yet on the colour, 90% of the chrome will be gone (unless i learn how to use Alclad lol) because the sprue points are a little thick and leaves white plastic that needs cleaning up. Thinking it'll be a custom truck so nice clean lines and a few mods, but we'll see how it goes down the line.

This is where i'm at, the Cat 6 cylinder is built but i cut the turbo off the cylinder head so i can sand it up. I may re-do the wiring on the side of the block just to make it look nicer. And i've test fitted everthing to see what i'm working with, and i forget how big American trucks are lol.

    Have fun, John

Just a little update and a few pic's. So, i've wrapped the turbo pipe to add a bit of interest and added some jubilee clips too. Made a start on the engine wiring, not going to go overboard but what something to look at when the hood is open.

    Have fun, John

Just a little more done today, but i have been busy cleaning up the modelling room. So while i was cleaning i plumbed the diesel pump up. Not going for super detail, i'm going for "it looks right".

        Have fun, John

A little more done but a lot more done in the modelling room. Think i need to stop adding things to the engine and get it in paint, this is where i'm at.

                Have fun, John

Like the rest have said John, it's looking good. If you still want some chrome Vallejo do a great range of acrylic metal colours. I use them all the time, just as good as Alclad but without the smell and hassle. Take a look in Johns forum shop.

Back at it and cleaned my room up that much i've now got the airbrush up and running. Luckly my room is finished, nice and tidy. So i've got some more work done on the "Kenny", the engine is finished and weathered. I've painted the dash, just needs a few more touches and i can put that to one side. Made a start on the hood by adding some detail on the inside, again a few more bits & bobs and it shound look good in there when it's open.

                              Have fun, John
