    Airfix 1/24 MGB (07401)

My build of the Airfix 1/24 MGB (07401)

This is an Airfix re-boxing of the Aoshima kit and was only released by Airfix from 2001 to 2003. I really enjoyed this build which was almost OOB although I did strip the chrome from the plastic and repaint with Mig Ammo A-Stand Chrome (A.MIG-2306). I used Warbird Ultra Chrome Decal Stripes along the bodywork.

Very nicely done, also got the Aoshima iteration to build.
Did you adjust the ride height as yours looks "normal" and not high as was used on the rubber bumper models to comply with US laws?

        Thank lads.

Stefee, I didn't make any changes to the suspension for the ride height. BTW, the kit also comes with the rubber bumpers and more modern grille to make a 1975 version.

That's a great result. Well done. I've always thought the MGB was one of the nicest looking British sports cars.

Wonderful result Dave. It's only missing the oil puddle beneath it 😀

Now then Joe, I own two of these cars and must point out they don't have an oil puddle underneath them.
They have two, one from the engine and one from the dif.

This looks great Dave. Cars scare me, shiny paint work and all that.
