    Completed.... "Battle For Berlin"

Defeated and demoralized, a decimated block defense unit surrenders and hopes for mercy.
Something in very short supply they will soon findops:

Awesome, love the vulnerability that you have portrayed in the surrendering German, the whole composition really has a narrative. Painting's not bad either .

Like I've already said about this diorama - it's awesome!
The only thing sad about it is the history behind it... The allied forces, EU and UN, are still hunting old Nazi members in order to convict them for war crimes, but there's very little mentioned about the war crimes that were allowed to happen by the Russians the week that followed the battle for Berlin. (and during the occupation of West Germany)

Thanks Jens, the atrocities committed by the savage and vicious Rooski and Mongol hoards dwarfs even the rape of Nanking.
Over 2 million women and girls committed suicide due to the horrors committed against them not counting those who did not survive the torture and rape.
Age held no sway with these heinous mongrels, infants to the frail elderly were equal targets.....Where were the condemnations?!
Yet to this day they comb the jungles of Paraguay and Columbia searching for "clues" to the whereabouts of some old codger who if he does even exist would at best be a
dementia riddled octogenarian who could not remember what he ate for breakfast much less the war days......you gotta love it

Thanks so much John, glad you see the tragedy and pathos I tried to portray in this piece. When you work on a big project you must have a driving emotional force
to keep you at it or you can peter out on it.
To see men so utterly shattered both physically and spiritually to the point of oblivion is one of the most horrid aspects of war.

A real work of art there, beautifully rendered and painted and really captures the tragedy of war. I just goes to show that making models isn't just about collecting flying machines and tanks but can also be about conveying a message.

Great work Jim. Your diorama brings the horror of what it must have been like, to us in 2017.

Thank you Joe, nothing can really bring to those who haven't experienced actual combat the true soul smashing experience of mans true inhumanity to man.
I'm glad I've made some impression of what it may have actually been like.

                            Thanks again......Jim

Thank you so much Alex, I've been at this hobby so long that "collecting" certain vehicles is of little importance now-a-days.
Though I do put out vehicle only renditions I do try to make each one an individual one of a kind offering always showing some sort of specific type of weathering
and stowage compliments (usually home made).
So glad you enjoyed this one, many more to come Good Lord willing
