Thanks for the very encouraging posts boys!
Dave, lemon slices in a Boddingtons is not quite the thing!

Right, you can blame Dave (Gern) initially for sowing the seeds for the above........

You might notice the figures have moved a bit. This is due to me having a bash at the mottled U.S. Marines cammo - The figures were originally plain Marine Green. Hence the slightly different placement of the figures from the B&W pictures.

I have also added some weapon shoulder straps...These are made from thin paper. I have also added a simple wooden saw bench.

I hope you liked the colour shots...if not, blame Dave!!!

    Cheers,

    Ron

What you need is a Japanese officer charging down with his sword in the air...not wanting to let the wounded man get away.

This is exceptional work Ron and I think you should box it up and then post out to me for safe keeping.

        Great stuff Ron.

Looks different in colour. Hot sunny and sandy.

        Like it a lot.

Now there's a co-in-side-ence Si. I had given it some thought, but reckoned it might have cramped it a bit, but on second thoughts........

Thanks all for the posts and ideas.

Alan....How about this. I could combine both yours and Si's idea...

If I moved the two marine fighting figures back to the left hand side of the dio., I could have a Japanese 'Banzai!' along the alley, dead set on reaching the wounded G.I and his rescuer.......

                Will they, won't they?

                How's that grab you?

                          My fault again I see!

Still, I'm not the only one who wanted to see colour pics. That's as good as anything else you've done Ron - which says it all really.

                          Gern

PS Who said anything about Boddies!? And I didn't notice you dunking your Eccles cakes so how was I supposed to know your strange eating habits?

You can almost hear them screaming "shinde"!!!!! (die!!!), I think the other one the Japs liked to use was "Koroshite!" meaning "I kill you!"

Thanks for your comments chaps. I'm glad you approve of the colour pickies....

                              Alan & Si, it's a done deal....Figure butchering I go!

                              Andy, I've sent you a p.m.

Steven, thanks for the info on the Japanese words.

                              .

Dave, you know you like the abuse - at our time of life, the verbal one is the only one left!

                              Thanks again boys.
