The branches are...dunno really, just little branch things, drilled the tree and glued in. The other foliage is various grasses, summer-to give a lighter look-also this is shorter, winter-to give darker patches-this is longer and you can tuft it more. The flowers are made from old paint brush bristles-sprayed up and then glued at the tips and a product called flowersoft is just applied to re-create flowers. Around the base of the tree is a mixture is brown flowersoft and fine brown flock.Originally posted by \Thats awesome, what did you use for foliage?

FINISHED DIO.Here is the finished dio with soldiers in place. My wife bought me them and they came part painted as she thought it would help my hands, they needed to be touched up and highlighted and assembled some pieces, fiddly but I managed. Got them sited and am happy with the result. I just need to varnish the base, but that is it-done.
Have got some flash pictures, some B&W and had a go at an early colour wash tint, to give that faded colour, oldie look.
Comments always welcome. Thanks.

Thanks Alan, he does look rather good, thought of having the boss by the fence just watching his boys. The tree is bought, resin bought it ages ago for a Warhammer dio but bought the wrong scale so it sat in the bits box for years. All airbrushed by me though. Glad you like it mate.Originally posted by \That's great Si , I love that bloke having a drink , it looks so naturalWell done mate you'll have to tell me how you made that tree it looks much batter than the stuff you can buy

Ta was tricky to do, but managed it, wouldn't trust myself in doing a whole model just yet, need more practice. The fence posts are matchsticks and the cross members are some thin wood planks I got from doing the Clarrisa-Mae dio, just gnarled them up and painted them.Originally posted by \You've done really well with that airbrush mate I'm impressed

Thanks Andy, it worked really well and I was a bit worried that 4 soldiers maybe a bit too much for the dio making it look too busy, but it came out all right. Glad you enjoyed my 'stroll'.Originally posted by \Hi Si,Top work Sir and a HUGE ***** from me...
