This is awesome Rick, superb skills and scratch making. Are you going to light it, would really set the scene off.

There is a T5 at a museum here in Farnborough and you're right, it is a beast. I have lots more clutter to add including some techies left over from my Nimrod build, here are some examples in the later green overalls, goretex and hi-viz, I have some in the earlier RAF blue overalls....I was thinking ahead so that I would have Lineys from different era's to pose with my builds.Originally posted by \Spanking stuff!!

The Lightning is a "beast" in size when up close and personal!!
That dio is looking the business, just need some sawdust + oil/fuel patches and greasy fitters.....

When I do lighting I use either a 9v battery with connectors and a switch or if you just have a few then I use a duel button cell battery with on off switch, will get some piccies and show you.Originally posted by \I was thinking of lighting the portakabin but have no idea how to power it.Comment

On my 1/24 Huey I used a twin 3V button cell with on/off switch, this is small and can be tucked away. On the Huey it powers, flashing 3mm LED, orange 5mm LED, and two lots of red, green and white LED's with fibre optics.
The battery pack is located in the cot.

It provides ample power for these lights.

More detail on the portakabin today with interior work on the walls using some charts and stuff from Scalescenes and flight safety posters downloaded from the Internet and scaled down. Various bits of paperwork cut to size and glued down represent work orders etc. when dry I'll try and add some detail to them with a pencil or the like. The exterior has been touched up where the interior beige leeched through.
I need to look for some chairs, desk clutter and knock up some maintenance manuals from plasticard to complete the detailing. I added posters to the back wall of the hangar too.

I loved working in AMF at Kinloss, this diorama is inspired by 4 hangar and there is just so much that can be added still to bring it more to life. The original picture I posted and those donated by Gregg are packed with detail.Originally posted by \Damn, that put a tear in my eye recalling the 'ol days......!

While waiting for paint or glue to dry on other builds I added a lick of paint to some of the "clutter" that will populate The Hangar, some recycled bits and spares from my model railway as aircraft parts, and the engine stand. The generator I got from a visit to a model railway shop in America many years ago and could pass as a piece of RAF GSE (or not, according to my GSE expert...the wife!)

I had a play around with this again today to see how things fit into the limited space of the wooden box. I still have a lot to do, staging, lifting jacks, more work benches and some home made decals maybe.
Details added today include two lockers, a shelf with boxes and aircraft spares, bins, sexist poster, filing cabinet, work orders and F731's, workbench with cantilever toolbox and aircraft components, tool cabinet, servicing trolley, A frame steps and some vehicles from Oxford die cast.
