Last update for today ......... I found some Milliput I had in a drawer (So that counts as free) I bought ages ago and made some rubble stacks. Pushed some cat litter into it (that is sort of free as well). You can't have a broken wall without some rubble that fell off it. ....... But now I have to wait for it to dry off before I do anymore and it takes ages to set hard......... I can start detailing it tomorrow..........

The wall has had a coat of light grey ..... Then dry brushed with a Buff / Tan and a dry brush with some green.......... It's starting to look like concrete.

I remember the first time i used a ice cream container lid for a base, and some paper mache for the groundwork popped the Tamiya Landrover on it, picked the base up and the whole thing fell apart, never used a lid since, mind that was my first attempt when i was 12 so over (well lets just say) a few years ago. ASDA in the uk do a 8"x 6" 'wooden' picture frame for a £1, going up to £2.50 for a A4 frame.
But I digress - fantastic build

......... I'm struggling a bit with the road surface. But I think, whatever I do on it....... I'll just cover it in crap so it won't matter much
