Change of plan. Moving the office to second floor. This will provide more interest & additional work floor space. It will however complicate the traveling overhead crane & crowd the Jagdtiger some. PaulE
Progress after constructing ofc. & staircase on wrong wall, duh. Much better on this wall. Not done yet, just dry fit furniture.
Heating plant addition will have coal chute door & stack.
C&Cs encouraged. PaulE
Hi Paul, looking good so far.:thumb2: You have probably thought of this already but just in case, your cantilevered office needs a corner post support that also ties in the staircase for added support. If that is not feasible then perhaps a suspension support to that same corner if it does not interfere with your overhead crane.
Rick H.
Progress, structural is almost complete. Still have overhead trolley to do, then details.
Dry fit of front wall. Overhead crane will run in frontwall channel & central I beam.
C&Cs welcomed. PaulE
This project is just begging for overhead lighting. Hope you can manage some I think the effect would be awesome. Maybe an inspection light in the pit...some arc welding? Because of the large viewing area (windows) the possibilities are enormous. l'm really jazzed about this one Paul! I'm sure what ever you decide will be the bomb. Rick H.
Planned on a pit light & a couple overhead lamps. Been through all my RR stuff and all my micro bulbs & LEDs are 12v. Too dim w 9v battery, so will try LHS for lighting kit using 1.5 or 9v batteries. PaulE
Rick is so right about the lights.
Paul the shot of the back wall with the " glass" in really adds , can't wait to see see what your local hobby shop come up with lighting wise. Everything is looking good .
