Thanks Simon. Will do. The size (4 to 8 inch as opposed to ballast/crushed stone 2 to 3 inch) sometimes used here for anti-erosion on embankments. The size output from first stage of US Army rock crushing plant I think. PaulE

      Paul,
Looking good mate, but as Simon says maybe a wash to tone it down and blend it together. Otherwise top work Sir.

Added some green here & there. Tried out some black, brown, & medium grey washes/dry brushing. Better? PaulE

Yes Paul, certainly looking better with the green scattered about. The washes have made it less stark, so a great improvement again .

                          Excellent result, Paul.

Very nice rock work and all nicely painted.

Nice to see your rugged good looks spread across the forum again :smiling6: . I think the base is wonderful and its great to see the reference material you used for your inspiration. Looking forward to seeing the vehicles in place.

If you think you would have had trouble with your back swing on the cliff top then try this one out instead

Backswing-no prob, but I'd need a sniper assistant to monitor the windage & drop (plus I couldn't drive that far anyhow). PaulE

Some base progress & tentitive placement of figs & vehicles. Wanted another Alsacast FAMO to replace the Wespe one, but currently all US stock is depleted & $20 postage from EU seemed too much for a $14 model.
